1996 Chevrolet Corsica
In the year 1996, Chevrolet Corsica's 4-door sedan becomes available in three
models: Corsica (base) and Special Value Package SP and SQ. These models comes
with a standard features including daytime running lights, rear-seat heat ducts,
automatic door locks and an anti-lock brake system (ABS).
Optional feature includes a split-folding rear seat to increase cargo capacity,
CD player, cruise control, power windows and a rear window defroster.
The Special Value Package SP model includes an optional feature such as intermittent
wipers and a day/night mirror while Special Value Package SQ model adds an option
including AM/FM stereo cassette and a tilt steering wheel.
This year's Corsica carries a standard engine of 2.2L 120 hp I4 both for sedan
and SP sedan and a 3.1L 155 hp V6 engine in the SQ sedan model. The SP sedan and
the Sedan models have a 3-speed automatic and a 3-speed automatic overdrive transmission
respectively. On the other hand, the SQ sedan model has a 4-speed automatic overdrive
transmission or can have an optional 3-speed automatic overdrive transmission
instead.
The 1996 Corsica has a wheelbase of 103.4" just like the 1991 model and has an
overall length of 183.5", just slightly bigger than the 91's. It has a curb weight
of 2,745lbs and a cargo capacity of 13.5 cu. ft. It has a standard and maximum
seating capacity of 5. The car has 38.4" front headroom and a 43.4" front legroom.
